Working with Dr. Sunita

Welcome

Are you looking for individualized, connected, and accessible healthcare? As an experienced naturopathic physician, this is what I want for you too.  The way we will work together will include a breadth of natural and conventional therapeutics, attentive and unhurried visits, comprehensive lab testing as needed, and a dedicated partnership for your health. As a founder of and former provider in a very busy primary care clinic for many years, I know how rare continuity and trusted relationships are in medicine, and how vital they are for excellent health outcomes. My goal is to give patients and myself the gift of a focused patient-provider partnership. You can learn more about me and what I offer here.  I am really looking forward to being part of your learning, healthy life, and well-being.

I am now seeing patients at Floresh Wellness in Edmonds, Washington, where I’m grateful to be part of a collaborative, welcoming clinical community. My practice includes both in-person visits in Edmonds and telemedicine appointments for patients throughout Washington State, allowing flexibility while maintaining continuity and depth of care.

Insurance Coverage

I am contracted with all major insurers in Washington State, including:

  • Commercial insurance plans
  • Apple Health / Medicaid
  • Most employer-sponsored plans

This means most patients can access naturopathic primary care and specialty care using their existing health insurance benefits.

Please note: Some plans — such as Medicare — do not currently cover services provided by naturopathic physicians in Washington. If you are unsure about your coverage, we are happy to help you clarify your benefits before scheduling.

Green Bottle Sliding Scale

For prospective patients who:

  • Do not carry insurance
  • Are covered by Medicare
  • Or whose plans do not cover naturopathic physicians

I offer a Green Bottle sliding scale option. To understand more about this scale and how it is used: https://www.wortsandcunning.com/blog/sliding-scale

This model is designed to increase access while honoring sustainability of care. It allows patients to self-select a fee tier based on financial capacity, with no required income documentation. The goal is simple: to reduce barriers while maintaining dignity and mutual respect.

If cost has previously been a reason you delayed care, I encourage you to reach out and inquire.

Whether you are seeking support for hormone health, midlife transitions, primary care concerns, or ongoing complex medical issues, I am honored to continue this work in a space that feels both grounded and deeply community-centered.

Appointments can be scheduled for both in-person and telemedicine visits.

I look forward to welcoming you!

Communication Guidelines for Members & Patients

Patients will have access to me through the Patient Portal and by calling the clinic. This is the best place for our communication to keep it private and protected

These messages or calls are intended to be for clarification, resources, or minor adjustments to a current plan.

  • Concerns or needs that require more detailed, additional, or new management and/or treatment plan will need to happen in a scheduled Follow-Up or Acute/Brief visit.
  • Given my practice model and availability I am not able to be on call or available 24/7 so non-urgent messages will be returned the next business day.
  • Urgent medical needs that arise after hours will likely need to be managed at an Urgent Care or the Emergency Department.
  • I am available to be a primary care provider but will no longer provide routine pediatric immunizations due to the labor intensive work of maintaining a vaccination program.
