I am excited to start the Perimenopausal Sleep Challenge beginning November 17th! This Perimenopausal Sleep Challenge is born out of my love of teaching and clinical care, and supporting you in re-crafting your sleep and well-being. I really, really love sleep and know that getting mo’ better sleep has been transformative for me, and I want that for you too 🙂
First some details, and a little story…
A little more about how this will work:
- On the first day, November 17th, I will do a kick-off webinar (30 minutes) and send out a sleep assessment workbook for you to get clear on what 1-3 habits that you may want to focus on for this challenge.
- Each day of the challenge you will get an email with some teaching content, strategy to work with your habit change, and support!
- On Day 5, we’ll have a mid-challenge check-in webinar (30 minutes) with a little teaching and time to ask questions.
- Then, on the last day, November 26th, I’ll host a closing webinar (30 minutes) with opportunity to share takeaways, learn more about the 2025 Sleep School, and ask questions.
- Ultimately, what you get out of it is mostly dependent on what you put into it!
- A note about the webinars and questions: consider that this is a challenge to discover which of your habits needs the most tweaking based on how they are impacting your health and sleep, and how you can start making adjustments in your life. Your questions can be about hacks and tips, and maybe other folks in the Challenge will have great ideas for you too!
About 2 years ago, my friend invited me to join this mom’s workout group. I wasn’t inclined; I have always liked the quiet of my mind and solitude when I work out. But for whatever reason, I did it. Being in a group where we were all committed to make small changes in our very full lives, we shared our workouts, sweaty selfies, and recipes. Plus vomit emojis for anything with cauliflower 😜 It was just the thing I needed to take my love of lifting weights, and knowing I’d feel better, to create a living ritual and routine. In the end, I made the changes to my own life, but doing the work in community and with accountability helped me see where those tiny spaces were that would eventually widen into devotion to my well-being. And make lifting heavy weights non-negotiable, just like I have also done with my sleep.
So, share this challenge with folks in your life, invite them to join you and be part of your non-negotiable well-being. You can forward this email on and they can sign up with the link below!
We still have a couple more weeks until we get started and I am looking forward to learn and experiment together! -Dr. Sunita
